Abstract: Harmonic distortions are closely related to the power transmission in the line as due to distortions power factor reduces. Hence a transmission line is modelled using static synchronous series compensator with the fuzzy logic approach in place of PI controller which reduces the harmonic distortions and result in good power quality response by enhanced power transmission capability

Abstract: Power demand is increasing day by day and hence is resulting in a crowded network due to which many times fluctuations in voltage is seen as well as poor power quality, hence in this paper FACT device STATCOM is modeled with a new approach of artificial intelligence of fuzzy logics implemented in a transmission line with sudden load changes and disturbances, it is found that the results from fuzzy logics approach are highly sensitive and there is reduction in voltage regulation ,the simulation is done using MATLAB in a single generator transmission line.

Abstract— In recent years, the transmission lines are operated under the heavily stressed condition, hence there is a risk of consequent voltage instability in the power network. There is a multi-functional control device which can be effectively control the load flow distribution and the power transfer capability is the flexible alternating current transmission system (FACTS) device. The facts device performance is depend upon its location and parameter setting.
